Starts with Ms. Laura praying for our nation. Pastor Randy starts with We are called as a church to carry the gospel, absorb one another and give God the worship and praise he deserves. That is something we shouldn’t have to be told to do. He’s been so good to us. Its been a wonderful week. There are things changing in our lives. Some of us are growing and maturing. Some of us still need a little help. That’s why we are here. Weak and Strong. The ones that are strong are here to help the ones that are weak to get them stronger so that the weak don’t fall prey to Satan.
Mark Ch 5 – How many that are here today know that we serve a God who can do anything? God can do anything but fail. He’s alpha and omega. He is in full control and I praise God that he is revealing it to us more and more each day. When you realize he is in control than that eases fear. The reason kids trust us is that they believe that we are in control. You can drive through snow and if they feel you are in control then they are calm. They trust us. We know God is in control and we trust him. There is nothing impossible for him. With nothing being impossible, that means that all things are possible. Mark 9:23- All things are possible to him that believeth. See a man came to Jesus and his son was filled with a demonic spirit. He told Jesus – we sure would like your help if you can do anything. Jesus said If? If I can do anything? So, he puts it back on him. God can do anything. Mark 9:22 – If you can do anything, please have compassion. Jesus says I can do it, can you believe it? See church he tells us he can do it; can you believe that? He said – Straightway the father of the child says with tears – I believe but it’s hard for me to see it already done. See Faith is seeing it already done. The Bible tells us plainly that if we don’t have faith then we can’t please God. Whatever we do that is not of faith is sin. We all know we have a little trouble with that. It seems where we get to a place where the only thing we understand in the Bible where it is okay to have mustard seed faith. That isn’t what it says. Most shrug our shoulders and say – well he says with mustard seed faith, you can move that mountain. But what about the next mountain. You know what Satan does? He throws several mountains at you at once. Were going to see as we read that with a man named Jairus that there are several obstacles that he has to overcome. He has to have a complete maturing faith. Mustard seed faith got him to Jesus but great faith will get the miracle from Jesus. I serve a miracle working God. God says nothing is impossible for me. He says if you believe, all things are possible. Too many church members only know the Bible, they don’t live the Bible. There is more than being able to quote some scriptures and live a pretty good life. He wants us to go further than that. He wants us to believe in him. Believing comes from the heart. When you put your whole heart in it you then you believe. God wants you to believe in him, not just know. If we do not believe than when the storms come, we will be fearful in our faith. Mark 4:40- Jesus calmed the storm for them and asked them why is it they have no faith. See today there are people running around scared. Coronavirus, Antifa, Election. Does anyone know that America is going through a storm right now? God is in control. What he asks them is why are you so fearful? See the storm started getting in the boat. The boat starts taking on water and they get afraid. See as long as the water stays outside, the boat wont sink. It’s when the boat starts taking on water that they need Jesus. Anyone else do that? Water is in the boat and they say wake Jesus up, we’re about to sink. What does he say – why are you so fearful? So why are you so fearful about things in America. Put your faith and trust in God. Why? Because he said so. As I said- we are being tested to show our faith. If mustard seed faith can move a mountain and great faith can change the world than why are we settling for mustard seed faith? The church forgot that we are here to change the world.
